Corporate Mid-Level Managers:

Are you looking for opportunities to improve your situation? To increase your influence? To make decisions at a higher level? To have more resources at your disposal? To champion your ideas internally, as an intrapreneur?

To make your career more successful, more enjoyable, and more rewarding personally and financially?

You probably know that you are surrounded by opportunities, and if you just open the door to them, they will walk right up to you. With the skills and increased confidence you gain from personalized speech coaching, you will be able to see these opportunities and have the courage to say YES to them. And these will open up even greater possibilities.

I know that this may sound far-fetched.

So let me share a true story with you:

A shy man in his mid-30s relocates to California and takes a data entry job at a large nonprofit organization, entering names, addresses, phone numbers, and donation amounts and dates into a computer screen hour after hour, day after day, month after monotonous month. He knows that to succeed out of this dead-end job, he must improve himself. So he begins down the path to learn public speaking. With his tight budget, he can't afford speech coaching or workshops. He finds another way that takes one year of daily practice.

One day at his workplace, the organization calls a company wide meeting, asking employees for their input on how to improve what they are doing, and breaks the 100 people into groups of 10. Each group discusses and records their ideas, and chooses one person to report its findings. Our shy man nervously volunteers. His turn comes up, and his body is shaking and his voice is quivering. But because he knows what to do, he gives his report. After his presentation, his group congratulates him on his presentation. And after the meeting, department directors come up to congratulate him. And the Executive Director walks over to congratulate him.

Two weeks later, the Executive Director calls our shy man into her office. The organization is celebrating a major anniversary in several weeks, and in attendance will be the city's top political and business leaders. She wants him to prepare a three-minute speech.

If a low-level data entry clerk can end up being asked to speak before a group of city leaders, imagine where personalized speech coaching can take you when you are already in management. All you need to do is know where you want to go. Personalized speech coaching and your skills and confidence will do the rest.

You are responsible for your career:

Long gone are the days of tenured employment. And a crucial portion of your success is being able to present your ideas effectively and persuasively to others. This increases your visibility, which in turn increases your opportunities. You can get to the next level and the level after that. Your refined speaking skills that result from personalized speech coaching are part of what will get you there.

Do you have these kind of opportunities, whether occasionally or frequently?
Read very carefully:

  • A presentation to your own team - whether your first or fiftieth

  • A presentation to others in your company - either to the upper levels or another department

  • A presentation to another organization - whether or not you are in sales

  • Interacting with upper-level management - whether from your own company or another

  • Interacting with people in the media - whether they report it, interview others, or just know those who do

Each of the people you present to or interact with represents a golden possibility to do what our shy man did - but to catapult yourself even further.

How far can the skills and confidence you gain from
personalized speech coaching take you?

All of these can be within your grasp in a short time:

  • Selling an idea to the C-Suite or a group of investors

  • Assembling a team to help you realize that idea

  • Being interviewed by the media

  • Delivering a keynote address and important presentations

You might have ambitions that include these. Or maybe you don't want or need to do any of these. Can you afford the chance that you won't be ready on the day that Great Opportunity walks up to you? That sounds like a hefty price to pay for not knowing how to express yourself because you weren't prepared.
